I am 19 years old, since I was 16 I have been trying to get in contact with this girl who is like my sister, we met in the system and we lost contact. This girl is my heart, and she has to be like 17 now, long story short my mother came across her case workers number and she is still house to house. She lives in long island, and I will be relocating back to NYC next month I have a 3 bedroom apartment up there that consist of my son, fiance, and I. I would really like to get some type of custody of her so she can be able to come live with me. I will be a full time student at Columbia University, and my fiance works full time, what will I need to do, to be in a position for her to be able to come with me. She has been home to home since she was a child and I know I can help her more than any system can PLEASE HELP ME!!

she is almost of age so they might let her live with you but they won't let you adopt her as you have to be 10-20 years or more older than the child you are adopting.
