Maybe I missed something, but where in the article did it say anything about taking kids away from people?

This happens every election year. They throw out there about all these people abusing the system. Lets talk about McDonalds getting corporate welfare as well as many other companies. Lets talk about pharmacetical companies who jack up prescription costs so they can do "research." Lets talk about the tax breaks that these oil companies are getting all while they are making hundreds of billions of dollars. Lets talk about senors who have to make a choice between food or medicine.

I think we should be taxing companies that send their production plants outside the country to avoid paying health insurance and decent living wages to Americans.

I used medicaid to pay for both of the healthcare during both of my pregnancies. Because I was poor, should I be relinquishing my children instead? I have been married almost 12 years. I am married to a cowboy. Where we have lived, I could not always find a job that pays good. In the area that I live we have had major companies moved their production plants and call centers to other countries. Before we start attacking the poor folks of this country, we need to look at what American companies are doing to make it harder for Americans to work.

I don't mind paying taxes to help mothers keep their babies. I give a lot to charities, and this is something I really believe in.

Amy is so correct on this one. It's very common -- and easy -- to single out the poor and disenfranchised who have no say. We can just blame them for high taxes.

Divorced and not so much income now? Give us your kids.

The article is about single parents this accounts for single mothers, fathers,single adoptive parents, even perhaps a single relative caring for a child relative. The article mentions nothing about someone giving their child(ren)away but to figure out ways to cut down on single parents and those from divorce needing so much assistance from tax dollars for childcare.

First thing they should focus on is providing all people with a job that pays enough that they can live to the point where they arenâ€™t having to scrape by. Also make sure that people who do get divorced that whoever is not the custodial parent is providing appropriate child support monthly. If the childâ€™s other parent is deceased then give them some support from the state.

We need to teach people about opening an account that is strictly for savings. It shouldnt be touched unless a rough patch hits them. Taking 1 or 2 dollars out of ones pay check may not seem like much but it will add up over time. Its even been said to not spend change just put it in a jar, that also adds up quickly. A lone penny on the street may not seem like much but again it adds up. If a person ends up in a rough patch they may be gratefully for that savings. Some people just arenâ€™t good at saving or they never think hardship will happen to them.

After all that I see no reason why marriage education should not be provided. People marry far to quickly. Too many people take it too causal today, figuring they can always just get a divorce. Which they can but imo a couple should not go into a marrige with that type of mindframe.

Sure let's kick the butts of poor women and their children. They are powerless, easily targeted victims. Let's starve them into giving their children away to rich, infertile people so adoption agencies can stay in business. Yeah, that's spirit! It's an election year.

And let's ignore the tax payers' dollars that go toward:

- adoption subsidies that the agencies use to inflate the cost of adoption
- war
- bailing out stupid, selfish people who bought houses that they can't afford.

Why are single mothers who have the audacity to keep their own children being called out here? Sorry stupid question. I know why.

This is a stupid article its like saying that because your not married your kid costs everyone more and that marriage will solve this NOT!

I would rather my tax dollars go to help single parents in our own country than most of the other things my tax dollars are funding.
