Yes everyone Shawn has plenty of money to fight this and cont to see his son thanks to the members of the church, and adoption agency who settled out of court. He will never stop fighting or seeing his son. Shawn has tons of court papers proving that this couple knew about shawn and his wishes. When the child get's to be a adult then he will be showed just how this couple stole him. Let's just pray that this wonderful child will be home soon for good.

It's disgusting. LDS is notorious for coercive adoptions and overstepping a father's rights. Another tragic outcome for an innocent child. At least the father was awarded visitation rights, but the child will have to pay the price. |

I am upset that this is happening to him especially as the mother of three sons. If an adoption agency wasn't involved these PAP"s would be charged with kidnapping.
I like how they trow in how damaging it would be for the baby to change homes now since they could have returned the child to his father in the beginning, but they kept him so long so they could play the "the baby is attached to us" card.
They are referred to as the adoptive parents, I thought the adoption was put on hold...or am I confusing this case with another?
All I can say is good luck Shawn and never quit fighting for your son. And to the Ap's (or whatever they are) good luck explaining this to the child you are keeping from his father. |

That is completely insane. The psychological parent model is an assault on the family. Apparently, this guy did enough right that the court lacks the authority to terminate his parental rights, yet Harlow's monkey and Anna Freud have cheated him out of his child. The adoptive parents are neither adoptive nor parents. If they had any human decency, they would return that child immediately. What a complete travesty of justice. |

The people who have possession of Shawn's son are kidnappers pure and simple. They are cruel, selfish people trying to hide under the cloak of America's white wash of the travesty of American style adoption. They knew early on that Shawn NEVER for one second deserted his son.
Shame on them. Shame on their agency. Shame on America's adoption culture that allows people to violate the rights of natural mothers, fathers, and their children.
ETA - I think he has the money to fight. I think he won a law suit against the adoption agency. Put them ALL out of business - sue their a$$eS off! |

I can't believe the Aps are fighting him......they should just do the right thing and give him back his son.
Its legalized kidnapping and it goes on more than Aps want to admit. |

The poor kid! Shawn needs to just leave him alone and quit trying to complicate things because this child is certainly old enough to know if the parents he's had since he was an infant aren't there |

I've noticed that some are really down on the adoptive parents. This sounds more like the agency and (possibly) the bio-mom could have done this without input from the adoptive parents. It could very well be, from their aspect, that they DO feel that their son has bonded with them and that they ARE fighting for his well-being.
We really don't know what the agency & bio-mom did or did not tell them. |
