I think its freaky. I think the whole idea behind the "dear birthmother" letters are freaky. Tacky. Cheesy. Fake. Sales pitchy. And the fact that they're standing in an already designed, and filled nursery is just creepy to me. CREEPY. What is with these nursery's that are all done YEARS or MONTHS before they even know if they're going to have a baby to adopt?!?!?! Seriously that's delusional.

I also don't appreciate calling expecting mothers "birthmothers" either. These people act like they're just ready to walk in and hand over their baby to make the couples dreams come true. Its so artificial to me.

Why the *^*&*&^^ is it on youtube??? Do people advertise for babies on there now as well??

Incidentally, dear birthmother things always annoy me. If the woman hasn't signed away her parental rights (which she usually hasnt at this stage) she's an expectant mother or just a mother NOT a birth mother.

Well, it gave me a good laugh...it was so over-the-top insipid and corny. The toilet! The guy gazing off the bridge and all the staged touching moments. It was almost like a spoof of an adoption video. Me thinks they are trying a wee bit too hard.

Then the seriousness of it kind of hit me. This isn't a joke at all. These are people REALLY looking for a baby. Are they kidding? It's disturbing.

Almost clicked it off at hello birth mother. I want to be unbiased and say that they look like they might be decent parents because of the fact that they get together with friends, the camping they do, the silliness they aren't ashamed to display. BUT this actually made me rage inside. Talk about trying too hard. I don't watch these dear birthmother video's for a reason. They make me angry. I personally think they shoud all be banned.

I think it's corny and seemed very staged and fake. But, like it or not, there are women with unplanned pregnancies who look for this sort of thing (not necessarily this corny couple). Once meetings are arranged a woman can generally tell how sincere and genuine the couple is. From there she can still decide to choose or not choose them.

creepy... just creepy.

I think they are mentally challenged.

What? It appears to me as if this whole thing about adopting a baby is just a joke to them. A sick sounding toilet...that is the best they have to offer as potential adoptive parents? Yuck!

oh jesus...

i thought the video was lame and offensive. somehow, these "perfect parents" think that a mother in a difficult position to decide whether or not to place her child will take solace in knowing that her most challenging situation (an unplanned pregnancy) is being mocked by a couple of yuppies who find a flushing toilet amusing?

sorry...these people are kooks. i wouldn't let them adopt the stray cat in my back yard.

...and what's up with them starting the video with , "hey birthmother..." birthmothers do not exist until AFTER RELINQUISHMENT.

Sarah
they seem nice.
but at first i thoguh it was a joke adoption video.
they seem too rehearsed and not natural tbh.
which is not good.

Well, I think they are kind of cute. That didn't seem like a sales pitch to me. I think they were genuinely showing what they were like. Which is obviously a little weird, but who cares?
