I 've found this prayer: "Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion or miscarriage." Has anyone tried it?

Basically, spiritual adoption is an intercessory prayer to protect unborn babies and guide their families and communities to give them life.
Apparently, there is a program for spiritual adoption in which participants (which can be anybody) pledge to pray for an unborn baby for 9 months. Of which, the unborn baby which they are praying for will be unknown to them. Therefore, most people who pray for the unborn baby will "name" the child. They pray that their prayers will be heard by God in order to help save the particular baby.
The reason why they pray for the child to be kept safe from miscarriages, abortion, healing for those in suffering by miscarriages or abortion.
The rule is simple you can 'adopt' at anytime. Prayers are to be daily for 9 months.

I'm not really sure, but here is my best guess.
Everyone is actually God's child. Therefore the human parents foster or "spiritually adopt" the child that actually belongs to God. This sounds like a prayer that a pregnant woman prays asking for help/health for her unborn child. |

How about actually doing something? Throw away the crutch that allows you to sit comfortably on the sidelines, feeling like you are making a difference even though you aren't. Must be nice to simply think a thought and believe it will put change into place. Real change takes work. |

Some of us do actually do something...and pray the prayers... The God I know doesn't only hear one prayer a day from Me....
Some of us Do Pray Prayers for unborn babies...
Some of us Actually DO adopt children waiting in foster care...
Some of us Do go out of our way to help support our community--state and nation by accepting responsibility--loving and caring for the children of someone who Didn't...
Some of us Do Give Money and lost of it--not only to support the children in our country but, several other funds around the world...

Yes, Spiritual Adoption is an act of purposely adopting the spirit of an unborn baby and praying for protection...
It works as well as all other Miracles Prayer Brings and those who know The Way understand. |

At my church on the prayer list they always have the unborn. I wouldn't really look at it as spiritual adoption. It just praying for someone this person just has yet to be born. |
