wat is the age you must be.. is there a certian amount if income u have to have.. anything like that. i currently live in michigan. but if its easier to adopt in another state then i will move. Additional Details im going to adopt in the FUTURE.. ive always wanted to adopt a child after my cousin put every single child she had for adoption i thought it would be nice to help out childeren whose parents dont love them or cant take care of them

Adoption does depend on your age. Most people will say it doesn't, but I guarantee you, if the agency or CPS was to choose between an 18y/o, financially stable, etc. vs. a 29 y/o with the same stable background, they'll choose the 29y/o in a heartbeat.
Naturally, they'll choose married couples over single people, and some states will not even consider a single parent, nor will they consider a gay person wanting to adopt.
The best thing you can do is research your state's adoption laws. Become financially stable (a long term, well paid job), set up a home big enough for children, make sure you have a support system (either a husband, friends, family, etc). That is what they look for the most.... stability and the ability to support the child. |
