I'm angry because I don't know my story. My life with my adopted family was great but it is only part of my story. I want to know who my parents were, where I came from, what my background is, why I was given up....AND I want my daughters to know because it is their story too.

I'm angry that I was brainwashed to believe that the past didn't matter instead of being taught that the past is part of who I am.

I'm angry because I waited all these years and it might be too late to ever find these answers. I wish someone would have been honest, and I wish someone would have valued the truth enough to have preserved it for me and for my kids.

I'm angry that my story was devalued enough to pretend that it never existed or wouldn't matter to me.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy ;)

They could be angry because the story the agency or foster progam told their adoptive parents about their first parents wasn't really true.

I guess your medical history could always be a question left unanswered. That would make me upset.

Because from their point of view, their parents gave them away because they didn't want them. My mom is adopted and she's generally not a very happy person :/

Shoot - I'd like to know what reason I have to NOT be angry about being adopted.

Well they could be angry because they know their parents didn't want them. Or they could be so frustrated that they don't know who they really are and what their background is that it makes them an angry person. Adopted kids are generally more difficult to raise because of their emotional issues.

That they were carelessly allowed to be adopted by abusive, neglectful or financially strapped adopters when they would have been better off living in a poor 3rd world country with their natural mother who loved them.
