Where can I adopt a BABY that isn't too much money?

My mom wants to adopt a baby. But she isn't that wealthy. Where can she adopt a not to expensive HEALTHY baby.

You do realize that you are talking about a human life, right?

I mean, shopping for the best price in human flesh is just a little sick.

Okay, no, it's a lot sick.

As an adoptee I find your question very offensive.

Your mother sounds quite lazy. She's having YOU do her research for her?

Honey, go out and play, okay?

Ummm....this isnt a car that she is buying right? This question is very disturbing and she would have to prove that she had enough finances coming in for her family before they would even think about putting a baby in her home.
Tell your mom that maybe she should just deal with the kid kids she has now

I'm sure this question is a joke. If it's not, I wish it were.

Department of children in family in your state! It is free. All that you have to do is take a 30 hr class that is spread out over a 6 week period! Goodluck!

I understand and looked because I thought there would be some actual feedback. As a possible adopter I would love, without a shadow of a doubt, to welcome a child into our loving home and take care of them as no one has/will. However... looking at stats where the average domestic adoption costs $30,000 I know there is no way that we can devote half of our years income to having a child. So... although I have no information on where, I want to justify your question and explain a little about how expensive adoption is, unless you're adopting a foster child who may have extensive special needs (either of which is your choice).

You don't need to be wealthy to adopt. You shouldn't be scraping by paycheck to paycheck, and it may take time to scrape together the money to pay for the adoption.

THAT SOUNDS WRONG!
SHE WANTS TO BUY THE BABY
WELL YEAH, THERE ARE MANY ADOPTION CENTERS HERE IN THIS COUNTRY, BUT I THINK THE LESSS EXPENSIVE TRANSMISSIONS PAPER WILL BE IN EUROPE OR AFRICA.

Shame on these people for being so cruel. There are lots of GREAT parents out there who haven't the money for a private adoption.

The truth is, to adopt a baby, it usually is very expensive unless it is a child with many handicaps. But, if your mother is willing to take a child that might be a few years older, she could do the foster-to-adopt program through the state's social services department. Often times, the state will even give you some grants to help you with the process.

God bless your mother for wanting to love another child. :)

Wow people are very sensitive. I supposed they are adopted so they take this the wrong way.
I know what you are saying, here in the US you need to be wealthy to adopt. If you go down to Mexico, to an orphanage home, they will help you with all the adoption process. It does not cost a lot of money. Of course they check you out to see that you are not a pervert. Besides, an orphan in Mexico would be much better off in this country.
