Why are adopted people not liked by other people?

There is still a massive stigma against adopted people.

Some will not allow adoptees to marry into their families; some think adoptees will come kill them whilst they're sleeping!; Heck many people think adoptees are stalkers who can't be trusted with their own birth certificates in case they go out to find their first family and 'ruin someone's life' and if they ask for any information about the truth of their origins from the authorities they are treated with disdain.

I don't know why. I just know your are right - adoptees aren't liked very much by society who appear not to trust us with the truth of our own origins.

I have never heard of adopted people not being liked by others. In fact, why would anyone even know you were adopted, it is nobody's business.

I think it has to do with the fact that at night we turn green, grow horns, drool, and generally misbehave. That is very off-putting to others who remain human after dark.

I was adopted and didn't have a problem with people not liking me. Are you saying that your adopted family doesn't like you, or people in general? Because people outside of my family didn't know I was adopted. If you feel like you are discriminated against because your adopted, don't tell anyone.

Where did you get your source- I am adopted , and I am pretty sure I am not hated because of it- and have 2 precious adopted children as well- and they are liked by their peers- my daughter as a matter of fact extremely popular. Why would you even ask this type of question, you must have something against adopted children, or adoption in general.

I am sure some adopted people are nto liked by others. I am sure some non-adopted people are not liked by others.

Whether people like you or not has nothing to do with adoption and everything to do with your personality.

If people don't like someone i doubt it has anything to do with someone being adopted. Perhaps someone in this case is just too self confident you feel people are going to automatically not like them for whatever reason and they use adoption as a scapegoat.

Whoever told you that was clearly insane. Some of my favorite people in the whole world are adopted! The adopted people i know don't go out of their way to please people. They are down to earth, real, happy, loving and actually pretty darn cool. I resent this rude question.

Hmmmm..... maybe because that is not a real statistic. We are just like anyone else. What's not to like? If someone is doesn't like one for adopted, it is usually a case of extreme ignorance. Current research suggests that adopted children, since inherently not raised by their parents and subsequently against the natural way, are disliked because they are labeled as heretics. Further research, is beginning to suggest that adopted children tend to be only 3/5 human beings.
