Or is it only bio kids the world is interested in? I thought adopted kids were the same, or more "special" than non-adopted kids...
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080801/ap_en_ot/brangelina_photos Additional Details Adopted kids (even babies) are never on the covers of say, People, OK, or US. Because people want to see the resemblance.

Hi Sunny,
Sadly you are right. It is about the resemblance. Its hard to dispute that fact when one of the news videos said "Everyone is anxious to see what a baby Brad Pitt looks like." |

Because they aren't newborn. Good grief, they have certainly been plastered over the tabloids countless times. You certainly can't accuse the paparazzi of not exploiting all of the Jolie/Pitt children, adopted or non-adopted. |

I hear you Sunny.
What stood out to me was this paragraph:
"People ponied up a reported $4 million donation for the U.S. rights to the first shots of their daughter Shiloh, now 2 years old, while Hello! obtained the British rights. And last year, the couple sold intimate shots of their son Pax, then 3 years old, to Hello! and People."
How much was ponied up for photos of Pax. I wonder why no reported estimates. Could it be the scandel around that adoption or just adoption in itself or they didnt get any money off of those photos.
I give them a little credit though. At least they are donating the money. People are watching that real closely. |

The world is interested in the babies right now.
Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh... each made the cover of the various mags when they entered the family. |

I think a lot of the hype comes from the pregnancy, and people have tons of time to wait to see whats going to happen. I think if Angelina had gone out and proclaimed that she was going to adopt in 6 months, then was in public enough to remind people of it, there would be a huge demand for the pictures. She seems to just kind of show up with the adopted kids, while with the bio-kids, people saw her out pregnant and speculated on when they'd come, who they'd look more like, and the like.
I also think that the trend of being on the covers of all these magazines is a pretty new phenomenon. When she first started adopting, she wasn't as famous, and the person she was married to at the time (Billy Bob) wasn't nearly as famous as Brad Pitt.
Then we get to the matter of the whole Brad/Jen Brad/Angie thing, and that just blew up all over the media. She was suddenly with this guy who was just married to one of the more "beloved" celebritites, and there were all kinds of rumours and theories about their relationship.
Then you also have the people who are in the mind-set of "what would the baby of two of our hottest celebs look like?".
Its sad and pretty shameful that they other kids don't get the same attention, but at the same time, it could be a blessing. |

Because they are old news so not as marketable. Angie and Brad can't make money off them now. When stars get too lazy to make decent movies they will turn to anything to make $$$s. |

there are probably going to be more pictures coming soon. but I didn't see where Shiloh was on there either and she is biological. right now they paid to get pictures of the babies. |

They had a whole layout back when they adopted Pax. I recall photos from when Z was adopted. I dont recall about Mad but that was way back in 2002. I see all of their kids all over celebrity magazines. They all get the attention from the media. I don’t know what Pax’s layout sold for but it certainly wasn’t free either.
Its crazy IMO their just kids who happen to have been born to the rich and famous or adopted by them.To make such a fuss over someone having a baby or adopting a child is silly imo. |

I'd like to say it's because the twins are new, but did Pax make the cover when he was "new" to the public eye? (I doubt it, but I don't honestly know.) |

OMGosh, I agree with you.
I might also add that I find it disturbing that anyone would willingly sell photos of their children, Adopted or biological, it is very disturbing to me.
Grapesgum....hahaha you are so right on money. When was the last time either of these two actually made a movie worthy of their pricey paychecks? |

When my second child was born I put her picture in the paper along with her birth announcement. I didn't include a picture of my first with that announcement.
When my third was adopted I put her picture in our home town paper along with her adoption announcement. I didn't include a picture of our oldest or our middle one.
When those kids were adopted their pictures were all over the paper and the tabloid rags. Now that there are a new set of kids in the family it's their time to get on the cover. Lord knows enough people buy that crap so I'm sure they have seen the pics of the earlier kids more then enough before now. |

Because they had to pay for them. |

People want to see the resembence to two of the most famous people in the world. They want to see faces that are a mix af Brad and angeline. This will ocntinue as they grow up. There will be interest in Maddox, Zahara and Pax but not as much as in Shiloh or the twins. I'm sure Brad and Angeline love them all equally though so it doesn't really matter. |

I'm not sure if resemblance has anything to do with it. Maybe they just want to respect the privacy of all people involved with the adoption, or produce even more hype about them being adopted in the first place.
I don't post pics of my kids on the net and it has nothing to do with the resemblance, whether there is, or isn't any. If people were either afraid of offending people on this issue, or ashamed, they wouldn't adopt.
ETA: Grapesgum, I really don't like defending celebrities, especially these two, but they are supposedly donating all this money to charity. If there is a silver lining for selling your kid's identity and privacy before they have a choice, it's that the money will do good for other children. |

the fascination with the twins? that is exactly what it is, people love looking at twins, especially twins of beautiful celebreties. |
