Either way, you'd end up adopted. Maybe not legally...but someone would end up raising you, whether it be monkeys or wolves or whatever. I think I'd stay on the island. If I could avoid a lifetime of judgmental attitudes, worries about weight and lookin' pritty for others, marriage and divorce, sibling squabbles, patriarchy, abuse, etc. man, I'd be happy! Just to be out in nature where your only worries are the next meal and nap...ahhhhhhhh. It wouldn't be perfect, but this emotional minefield that is called "civilization" ain't all that. |

What's the difference??
I am adopted - and sometimes I feel like I'm living on a deserted island.
At least on an island - I wouldn't have to please anyone - or choose sides - between loyalties to different families.
I'd just have to have loyalties between the coconuts.
But they wouldn't say things to give me guilt.
Well - the island it is!!!
(mmm - thinking way too hard on this - I think I need more coffee and perhaps a nap!!!) |

If left on a deserted island... well I'd be dead by now so I wouldn't know. |

I really hate to answer this question now knowing why you are asking. So maybe you should go into detail a little bit more if you want honest answers! |

I was adopted when I was born by my Aunt and Uncle. My biological parents were way too young to take care of me. (my mom was 14 and idk about my "so called biological father").
My parents kept me being adopted a secret for almost 18 years. Until I finally asked them about it... It broke their heart for me to find that I was adopted out.... They cried and said the only reason that they didn't tell me is because they didn't want me to hate them.
I don't hate them, I respect them a whole lot more... and love them... and thank them for giving me a better life than my little brothers have.
I only found out that I was adopted last October... 2007 |

Adopted...what's so bad about that? I'm sure adopted children are just as happy and normal as those living with their biological parents.
Left alone on a desert island as a baby your unlikely to live for very long..
strange question |

Adopted, unless I was required to have an open adoption with natural parents who would even think of leaving a baby on an island (kind of like that mom who left her child at the Dallas airport yesterday). If I had those kinds of "natural" parents, I would prefer to have been left on the island where I soon died without a lifetime of abuse.
*Please note the above is sarcasm after seeing some of the other posts in this section. |
