so. Me and My husband have been married for a while now. He is 19 and im 18. we are looking into adoption becuae we figure that an adoptive child needs love too. WE were wanting to know if we have a stable income and and nice apartment. could we be considered for a baby. we are looking over seas right now. but we are alittle confused with the matter. can some one help us. we know it is a great responsibility but we know all kinds about kids and we always watch our friends kids so we know alot. some one help us??!!

No, you would not be a candidate for adoption.
Most agencies require you to be married for 3 years and be 25 years of age. Until then, research as much as you can on adoption (especially through the eyes of an adoptee)

sooo... you want to adopt a child because there are children in the world who need love... you want to save a child? Did I get that correct?
How annoying. And hurtful. I don't know how many times I have to say this on here. CHILDREN ARE NOT CHARITY CASES. They're f'in kids. I'm so glad my aparents are at least up front about it. "We couldn't have our own biological children. We wanted kids. We adopted you." At LEAST I didn't have to deal with a martyr mommy. |

You are really really really young, especially for AP's. Most international adoption countries will want you to be married for a minimum of 2-5 years, and older than 25.
Children are better off with their biological family, that is a fact. Yes, there are children who need homes, however, most of them are not babies, or even toddlers.
You should wait a few years and see how you feel on the matter. There really isn't as much need for adoption as you might think, especially of babies. There is, however, a need for good solid, stable foster homes, which, in a few years, you may want to look into. Though I think you have to be 21 to do that. |

Nobody is going to consider you until you are at least 21, including overseas unless you are adopting a relative's child. Married awhile? Come on. You are 18. |

You have to know that taking care of a baby is alot of reponsibilty. Not only love but it takes alot. It takes away all of your freedom. There will be no time to hang out with friends. It will all be about the baby. I think babies are wonderful! I love them to death. But being in your situation....I had a baby when I was 17 almost 18 and then I had another one when I was 19 almost 20 and my life has changed so much. Every minute of your life must be comited to your child. If you believe you are ready to have a baby then go for it but make sure you are able to afford diapers, food, clothing, hair items, expenses such as water, lights, and such....just make sure you have a stable job and everything before you have a baby. It is ALOT of responsibilty!!!! Good luck |

Adoption is something that should take years to decide on. It is not something you can just decide... It is a long process that is well worth it, You both sound so young. I had a child (of my own) at 19. My advice to you is to enjoy your life and let the adoption idea soak in. Make a plan for the adoption in the process of waiting. It is like that saying "Good things come to those who wait" |

Our agency were leary about my husband and I (27 and 29) being married for just under 2 years when we were applying to adopt through foster care. Then they found out that we got married after only knowing each other 9 days. They spent time with us and realized that anyone can get married after knowing someone for 9 years and be married for just under 2 and get a divorce same with someone who got married only after 9 days.
But your age is what the problem is going to be! |

I would like to say that me and my wife could not have children after about 5 years of trying we found out the hard truth. A child is not a charity fix. Just because there is children needing homes is no reason for you to want to run try to get one. Also you will find out that you have to be over 25 and married at least 3 years with most adoption agency's. I hope you will listen to what everyone says to you and thank about it long and hard. You should not be thinking of a baby but thanking of building your merriage. My wife and I have been married for 10 years and the first 5 years was the best being able to charis and build each other up. With a child you will not be able to this.. |

what exactly are you looking for. i know that if you take the 10 week course you can look to adopt in the foster system. many many children need good stable parents. check out your local system. |

I think it's great that you are considering it, but like some of the others have said, most agencies or foster care systems require a minimum of 2-3 years of marriage at least one parent to be 25 or over. Keep this idea close to your heart, be sure you do it for the right reasons. |

J'ai 16 ans bientôt 17 ans et j'étais élève, mais depuis que mes parentes ne sont plus dans ce monde, je suis quitter à l'école à cause des gestion financière et les inscription de l'école, Je suis un garçon de 16 ans d'une famille pauvre grand en Afrique de l'Ouest, il n'a plus de personne pour payer mes études, si me aider l'argent de proche, mais grâce à dieu j'arrive un peu à me nourri, et souvent je mange 4 fois par semaine, parce que la vie est si dur et je me retrouve sans mes parentes pour m'aider à fait face à la vie, je suis vraiment perdu, s'il vous plait je vous demandé sincèrement d'avoir pitié de moi et m'aider , afin que vous puissiez m'aider à être un homme dans la vie , je suis moi aussi prête à vous appeler maman et papa si vous le voulez bien , je vous promet de vous aimer aussi fort comme mes propre parents j'espère vous lire bientôt mon contact :
