ok so my cousin just got her kids tooken by the government not that long ago and they lived with us for a couple of months and my mom feel in love with her baby(not litterally of course) so my mom wanted to adopt him but was wondering if there would be problems because shes a famiy member she doesnt plan on lettung the mother have any rights of seeing him but we have no idea how the adoption process is please help me

As a family member, your mother has a good chance of adopting. She needs to contact the social worker in charge of their case and let them kow she wants to adopt. Then she needs to hire a lawyer. |

Family members are preferred over strangers as long as they can pass a home study.
Tell your Mom to be careful with the government - they get bonuses for adopting babies out to strangers, but $$00 if the baby goes to family. |

get a lawyer as soon as you can trust me you can my friends sister neglected her son terribly and the gov wanted to take him from her...so instead my friends mom adopted him and they stopped the mom from seing him she was a wreck...well my friend is happy and trully loves her nephew...so if they did it its possible as well for u give it a shot!!!! dont waiste time...get a lawyer ASAP! |
