our child is so very mean

We were blessed by God when He lent to us a beautiful baby girl. The mother had given her first born a son to his grandparents to raise, she kept her second child a daughter, and then she got pregant for the third time, and she was renting an apartment from us, and she wanted my husband and I to have this child,we did not know this woman, as a friend but she never changed her mind, and when the child was born at home, she gave her to my husband and I, we were so excited and we went the proper channels to adopted legelly. We have had her since she was 20 minutes old, we loved her so and I can count on one hand how many times I had a baby sitter, and most of them were because of funerals. She has always been a very strong headed girl, she is now thirty, and has three children herself, but she acts toward me as if I were a piece of dirt, and this has been a long time situtation. She is a very mean young woman, and lies about me , I have tried to ask why and she has no answers. I am broken hearted, and her father is also hurting because I am hurting. the children are by two different fathers , she lives with someone else on and off. We would crawl over broken glass for her , and we love our grandbaby's so very much. I just wanted to know if anyone else has gone through this with an adopted child, she has found her half brother and sister, and also her mother, I don't know if she does not want us in her live anymore or not . But I am broken hearted.

Today 6/18/11 I dont know how long ago did you write this... But when my kids that are mine not adopted take that actitud I just give them the cold shoulder and belive me they would notece. My daughter told me once not to take decisitions over my grandbaby and not to take him with me at night when he cry. I gave both the cold shoulder and she never did it again.
