A financial aid and a greencard question please?

i want to study collage in the u.s.a but actually it's almost been 9 years since i've visited the u.s,and i have a green-card but am not sure what do i need to do? like should i renew it or something?
plus how will my financial aid process go?
am i eligible or not?
and if i wanted to go to any collage will i be treated as an out-of-state student or as an international student or what exactly?
i know the question is a bit complicated but i really need your help people!

your green card, is not longer valid since you have been out the country so long,
you will have to start the process over,
you are not eligible,unless you find another way to get financial help or sponsor,
you are now considered a foreign student,
