Hello all,
Any experts know about Embassy? One of my friend's brother(Suresh)(Indian) went to "Cambodia" few years back. He was sent by one of his friends in Delhi. Suresh was said that he will earn a lot by doing business in Cambodia. Shankar's parents didn't permit to go. But he went against their approval. As soon as he went there, he was working in some hotel it seems. He used to speak with his family once in a month. After 5 or 6 months, that guy was missing. 3 days after that, police from Cambodia found a body is some lake and that was Shankar it seems. Cambodia government didn't send the body to India. They did all funeral and other things in Cambodia itself. They have sent only the photos of the funeral, not even the body after death. My question is, why Cambodia embassy didn't send the body to India, even though he had enough details in his pocket?
Why Indian embassy didn't ask about this?
It seems that his passport original was not returned, only the photostat was given to his family.
Is there any rule that if a foreign person dies in their country, they should do funeral in their country and send nothing to them??
Can anyone give me answer for this??

as far as i know, when a death occurs, the embassy of the deceased usually gets in touch with the family and the country concerned does NOT bury the person, they do not have to authority to do such !
the family of this person? should get in touch with the embassy of India in Cambodia at this address and ask some explanations, and receive some,
