After graduation (BS GOVERNMENT) should I try working for a couple of yrs or should I go straight into Grad..?

School directly? I'm graduating in May of 2009 and I have decided I would like to pursue a career in Foreign Affairs and work for the Government (FSO perhaps) or something along those lines. I will be 22 going on 23 when I graduate but I'm not sure if I should attempt to enroll into an International or Public Policy Masters program at a prestigious university w/o any real world experience.
But then again, I don't want to waste time or get used to not being in school and eventually put off going back either!
What job overseas would except an entry level BS Gov student with high marks (3.6-3.7) without any experience in the field ; except for being manager of a new local charity (NGO) for 2 years?
Please help? !
