Am I an EEA National?

I live in the U.S. Although I'm not a citizen I've lived their for nine years. I was born in Germany though, and have citizenship there. Am I an EEA National, or not?

A German national is also a EU and an EEA national. The Federal Republic of Germany is a member of the European Union (EU). All members of the European Union and the three non-EU members Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway form the European Economic Area (EEA). Switzerland participates in form of agreements concluded with the EU. Germany as all the EU countries is issuing the standardized European Union Passport.

Yes. If you are a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany, you are also a European Union (and EEA) national. Being a national of the European Union does not provide you a special passport or another kind of identity. However, you have right to benefit from every kind of rights and opportunities which are valid for all other EU and EEA nationals.
