Am I en-titled to dual-citizenship?

My father is a former citizen of the Philippines, but became a naturalized U.S. citizen long before I was born. I also am a U.S. citizen with fully naturalized citizenship. I was wandering if I am en-titled to dual-citizenship or if I was born with it, or if I have to apply for it.

Under new laws he can reclaim his Phillippine citizenship and if you are under 18 you will gain it automatically.

Republic Act No. 8171, approved 23 October 1995, provided a mechanism allowing Filipino women who have lost their Philippine citizenship by marriage to aliens and natural-born Filipinos who have lost their Philippine citizenship, including their minor children, on account of political or economic necessity, to reacquire Philippine citizenship.
Republic Act No. 9225, approved 29 August 2003, provided that natural-born citizens of the Philippines who have lost their Philippine citizenship by reason of their naturalization as citizens of a foreign country are hereby deemed to have re-acquired Philippine citizenship upon taking an oath of allegiance to the Republic, and that their children whether legitimate, illegitimate or adopted, below eighteen (18) years of age, shall be deemed citizens of the Philippines. |

If he has, or is able to get a Philippines passport then so will you! When you say he was a citizen of the Phil., did he have a passport, did he have documentation to prove such. If he does then you should be able. |
