American citizen married to a British citizen...

I am an “American” male citizen married to a “British” female citizen. She is about to receive her “American Green Card”. Exactly what “British” benefits am I "the American citizen" entitled to, if any…

Depends what your ambition is.
There's nothing stopping you from getting dual citizenship.

The catch is you have to be here in the UK for a certain amount before you get it. Mind you - once you have it you can pretty much work anywhere in Europe.

I don't know if the 'spouse' visa entitles you to work. But you can sort that out at the British consulate before coming here.

You're entitled to be married to a British citizen.

You are entitled to apply for a British spousal visa but that would be about it.

No free citizenship or British passport if that's what you were implying.



Also you're not entitled to abuse the "quotation marks" in either country. :D

the British are unfortunately not so much broad in sense of immigration and hospitality compared to us Americans. i think it will be basically nothing except some snob sharp nose attitudes

contact the british embassy or consulate here in the US you are able to recieve citizenship because you are married to a foreign national
