Anyone know where I can get my birth certificate translated to spanish and notarized in Washington state?

Check with the Mexican Consulate closest to you, but often all you need is an "Apostile" for your designated country. They are issued by the Secretary of State (Washington in your case). This letter and seal is attached to your birth certificate, authenticating it. It often does not need to be translated when it is coming from the United States. (The US requires birth, marriage, etc papers be translated) I married a Mexican many years ago. We had to have his birth record translated/certified, but when we went to Mexico I only had to purchase the "Apostile" for my birth certificate and it was accepted. The same recently applied to my daughter's birth certificate when I was providing documentation for the Consulate of Argentina. The "Apostile" costs about $26 (at least here in CA). Good luck!

I did my own translation from my Spanish Birth Certificate into English and the American Embassy accepted it 25yrs ago.

Ask if you have to have the same person who translates it be notarized. I can help you with translation, I am a translator since many years ago. However I am not notarized.
If youc an have it translated by a regular translator and then take it to a notary to get yr birthcertificate viewed and then notarized in Washington i think this is what you should do.

FIND ONE THAT CAN TRANSLATE AND JSUT GO TO A MAIL BOXES OR AN BUSINESS THAT HAS A NOTARY AND THATS ALL.
What they want is to make sure that THE CERTIFICATE YOU SUBMIT TO MEXICO CITY IS LEGAL AND ITS YOURS.

So you need to show your i.d. to the notary along with yr translation and they have to know Spanish so they can see that the translation is accurate.

translated = just get someone who knows spanish and they can do it, there's no regulation on how proficient that person has to be, i don't believe
notarized = the bank has it for free

Go to your local bank branch. They will notarize it for you and most of them have someone who will translate it as well. If you bank there it will be free.
