I'm a palestinian with a Syrian traveling document. I live in Dubai and I want to apply for the schengen visa to go to Paris for tourism only. Is there a reason that would make them reject it? And how can I increase my chances of getting one.

You may increase your chances to get a visa by convincing the Consular Officer that you will return to your country after the visit. This can be done by submitting a letter from your employer that you have been granted leave (with should correspond to your visa application) for a certain period and that you are expected back for work on a certain date. You also are required to provide an itinerary which covers proof of reserved hotel reservations and flight tickets. Furthermore you need to show a bank account which enables the tourist visit to France. In general you should have access to at least 350 dirhams per day of stay.

As long as the officer knows you have sufficient funds to support your stay, and will return home at the end of your trip, and you no criminal convictions, you should be fine. |
