Applying minors passport

I am an NRI (UAE) and I want to apply passport for my baby(3 months) in india.i have send my passport copy sworn affidavit from indian consulate UAE, to apply for the pasport. his birth certificate has my adress on it. my wife in india is applying for his passport. What will be the adress on his passport. I heard it will be my wife's? is it true?

This is true.
The Permanent or Home Address applies always. This is because of verification of Home Address.
Also, as per the new rules, your child gets his/her very own passport (renewable every 5 years).
There is no Police Verification needed, so your child could get his/her passport within a week.
