Are You allowed to Travel on a ONE WAY Ticket into the USA when Youre Traveling on a K-1 Visa?

For someone entering the USA on a K-1 Fiance Visa are you allowed to enter on just a ONE WAY Flight?

I entered the US on a K1 visa and not once was i asked to see my travel tickets during the interview an when i crossed the border (plane) they didn't say anything about my one way ticket. i believe a Round ticket purchase is for tourist visas.

The K-1 Fiancé/Fiancée visa in a non-immigrant visa. However, after your marriage within 90 days it is assumed that you will apply for becoming a lawful permanent resident. So what do you need a return flight ticket for?

Return flight tickets are often a prerequisite for nationals of those countries which do not fall under the visa-waiver program for enter the United States for tourist purposes.

It would make sense wouldnt it since once you get to USA, you are obviously not going to leave for a while.
