Since the U.S. no longer maintains a diplomatic presence in Iran, for reasons which I hope are self-evident, your best bet is probably to travel to Dubai and apply there. I don't have the actual stats in front of me, but I'm pretty sure I recall a consular official from State telling me that the majority of Iranians applying for U.S. visas came through Dubai. Maybe it's easier for Iranians to get to Dubai than other cities in the Gulf? There are also consulates/embassies in Doha, Manama, and Abu Dhabi.
Bear in mind, it will take longer to get a visa now, in the post-9/11 world. Here's some additional info from the State Department website, which I recommend you visit (link below):
To obtain a visitor visa (for tourism, medical treatment, and certain kinds of business activities), the process may be relatively simple. To obtain other types of visas, to study or work, for example, more forms and documentation will be required. Individual experience in obtaining a visa can therefore range from relatively fast and simple to relatively complex and time consuming.
Applicants also still need to demonstrate their intent to return home rather than stay permanently in the United States. You will not be granted a visa if, in the judgment of the consular officer, you have not met all of the necessary criteria.
Probably best to contact the consulate in Dubai before you spend the money to travel there:

The United States still welcomes and encourages legitimate travel, for business, for tourism, for educations. Best of luck to you! |

At this point in time, I think it would take a major act of God for an Iranian to visit the US legally, but thanks for thinking of us. |

Never mind all the idiots up there!
They are all immigrants anyway...If not their grandparents then their great great grandparents!!
They think its their country. They are probably jobless racists!!
Simply apply for a visa and make sure you provide valid reasons for your visit and proof you will not stay in the USA for ever!! |

Why would you want to go to the US? You would always be under suspicion. If you came to the UK they would probably "accidently" shoot you cos you looked like a terrorist. You might be safer staying at home.............and making the best of it. |
