I don't think there many other ways anymore. I think they dealt with so many kind people who would do all sorts of ways just to get non-immigrant visa that the US government had known about them already before you thought of it.

I have a non-immigrant visa to the USA and I work in California. I found a job here and I applied for the visa. I followed the rules.
