Attending L1 visa when H1B under 221(g)?

In Sept 2008 I have attended H1B (Comapny A) visa interview at Chennai consulate and received 221(g) for company additional documents, but I haven't received those documents from Company A yet.

Now my current company (Company B) is asking me to go for L1 Blanket Visa, so if I go for L1 Visa, will there be problem getting L1 Visa when H1B has under 221(g).

It would be great help if someone could reply on this at the earliest.

221(g) technically means denial of visa issuance unless you can produce more document.

When you apply for L1, it will be seperate procedure. Unless you have a bad record, I will suggest you to try L1 instead of H1.

I dont say I'm answering your quo, its just a suggestion.

I understand that your current employer is compelling you to apply for L1, but it is illegal to do so on your employer part & 'suicidal' on your part. Plz refrain from applying again as long as your application is either declined(which is not possible in your case as your prospective employer is not supporting you with reqd documents) or timed out(1 year from date of Visa interview). However, when you are applying for a VISA of particular class, it over rides all prior applications, so talk to VFS-help desk regarding the same & explain your helpless situation & hope for the best
