I HAVE MOST OF THE INFORMATION CAUSE I BEEN TOLD BY MY SON'S GODMOTHER SHE IS IN THE SAME SITUATION BUT HER CASE IF FASTER THEN ARES AND BEEN TO HER 1 ST APPOINTMENT IN CIUDAD JUAREZ.
I WAS BORN IN OAKLAND,CALIFORNIA I'M A U.S CITIZEN I BEEN MARRIED FOR ALMOST 6 YEARS AND HAVE A 17 MONTHS OLD BABY BOY. I FILED I-130 FOR MY HUSBAND HE IS ILLEGAL. WE ARE CURRENTLY WAITING FOR HIS APPOINTMENT IN CIUDAD JUAREZ. HE ENTER THE US ILLEGAL WHEN HE WAS MINOR. AND LIKE I SAID BASIC I'M JUST LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH WHO HAD OR HAS A SIMILAR CASE LIKE ARES. IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO A CIUDAD JUAREZ APPT PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIANCE.
FOR PPL THAT HAVE NO CLUE HERE IS ALL INFO I HAVE AND KNOW TILL KNOW. AND I KNOW IT CAUSE MY COMADRE JUST HAD HER CIUDAD JUAREZ APPT AND HAS TOLD ME STEP BY STEP WHAT TO EXPECT...
WHEN YOU FILE FOR A I-130 AFTER THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A RECEIPT WITH A CAUSE NUMBER THAT WILL START WITH W-A-C FOLLOWING NUMBERS THATS INDICATING THAT YOUR PETITION HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND APPROVED AFTER YOU WILL GET A LETTER WHICH YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE OUT OR HAVE THE PERSON THAT IS HELPING YOU WITH THE PAPER WORK COMPLETE THIS FORM THIS FORM IS TO START AND CONTINUE ON FURTHER INDICATING YOUR CORRECT ADDRESS. THAT IS NEED CAUSE AFTER YOU WILL START RECEIVING PACKAGES YOU WILL HAVE TO COMPLETE AND SEND. THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE UR FIRST PACKAGE YOU WILL SEND THAT COMPLETE AND A MONEY ORDER OF 70.00 THEN ANOTHER PACKAGE BUT THE AMOUNT OF 400.00 U WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE PACKAGES AND THE LAST ONE WILL BE WHERE THEY ASK YOU TO SEND ORIGINALS OF YOU BIRTH CERTIFICATE MARRIAGE LICENSE AND PASS OF PORT THEN SHORTLY U WILL RECEIVED THE LAST PACKAGE THAT CONTAINS THE DATE AND TIME AND ADDRESS OF YOUR CIUDAD JUAREZ APPOINTMENT.. MY COMADRE SAID THAT SHE WAS JUST ASK A FEW QUESTIONS AND AFTER SHE WAS GIVING A NUMBER TO CALL FOR HER SECOND APPOINTMENT THAT WILL BE THE PERDON APPOINTMENT. GOOD LUCK FOR EVERY ONE AND WISH ME A GOOD LUCK TOO.
ONE MORE THING PLEASE CERTIFIED EVERY LETTER OR PACKAGE U SEND LIKE THAT U WILL REALLY KNOW IT HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND MAKE SURE THAT UR PAPER IS WELL DONE ORGANIZE AND ONCE U LEAVE HAVE UR PERSON READY 2 BECAUSE THATS WHAT U WILL NEED FOR U SECOND APPT THE PERSON THAT IS HELPING YOU WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT A PERDON IS AND HE OR SHE WILL COMPLETE IT FOR YOU LIKE THE REST OF YOUR PAPER WORK, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 10 LETTERS FROM US CITIZENS AND RESIDENCE AS REFERENCES TAKE THEM TO A NOTARY. ALSO HAVE BOTH OF YOU AND UR HUSBAND/WIFE DO ONE EXPLAINING HOW IT WILL CAUSE U HARM AND DIFFICULTY IN UR FAMILY IS HE/SHE IS SENTENCE TO STAY IN MX FOR YEARS. INCLUDE FINANCIAL FIRST AND HOW U DON'T WANT TO BE IN WELFARE.

I'm not sure what the question is, but here's how it will work. Your husband will have his appointment in Juarez. He will be rejected and he will be banned from the United States for 10 years.
At this point he'll need to file an I-601 (Waiver of Inadmissibility) request. The waiver will be based on hardship. It will take about 6 months for the I-601 to be processed. If he has no criminal record in the United States, and he's never been deported or removed from the United States in the past, he has a good chance of getting the waiver.
He will wait in Mexico while the waiver is processed.
Assuming the waiver is granted, he will then file a request to have his case reopened. Assuming there's no other problem he'll get the visa to come back to the USA legally. |

For Information: If your waiver is granted you do not need to re open your case. You will receive a third appointment to Cuidad Juarez, and they will give you your passport with a temporary resident seal, and it may take minimul two to three months, max 18 months. In all you have to go to three appointments to Cuidad Juarez, unless your relative whom you are petitioning for is already in Mexico. |
