Okay I'm applying for a United States F-1 visa. I'm an only child so that point will probably help me (since that will prove that I'll be returning to my home country)

The thing is, my uncle is in the same city as my university. When they ask me whether I have any relatives in the US, should I tell them about him? If yes, will that deplete my chances of getting a visa or is there something I should say alongside?

It will be beneficial to your application for you to be truthful about any of the questions asked. I hope uncle is not an illegal as it won't look good for you.**

Always tell the truth on Immigration papers. If they catch you in a lie that in itself is grounds for revocation of your visa and possible deportation.

It's always best to be truthful on these sorts of things.

Your visa should be granted based on your merits and what good contributions you can make to America.
