Can I apply for a Hong Kong Passport and how?

I was born in hong kong 24 years ago and stayed for approximately 2.5 years. Both of my parents are born and breed english and I have lived in the uk for many years now. I just wondered if I can apply for a dual passport (if thats even an option) as I am desperate to go back to where I as born and spent the early years of my life! Thanks xx

No. You are British, not a citizen of Hong Kong, just a child born to Hong Kong parents in England is Chinese, not British. |

As Hong Kong is now part of China, although with a special status, it would be a Chinese passport you would be wanting which, if your parents are born and bred English as you say, I somehow doubt you would get.
I do know that the British government gave British Overseas Passports to some of the Hong Kong population just before handing it back to China in 1997. There was, then, a fear of what Chinese rule would bring. In a way these are "Mickey Mouse" passports as they are by no means proper British passports.
