Can I get married overseas?

I'm Egyptian. and I'm going to marry an English woman who lives in England. Can I marry her through the British embassy in Cairo without her coming and get citizenship, or will I have to travel there on a visit visa then we can get married?

The only legal marriage in Egypt is a civil ceremony performed at the local marriage court, which is in accordance with Islamic practice.

The British Embassy in Cairo will be able to provide referrals, but they will certainly not provide legal advice or be able to perform the marriage ceremony.
