No and I would like to point out that it's a misdemeanor to not carry your green card with you once you enter the US. So you need a new green card anyway. You need to get one now. Don't leave home without it. |

As per law.. NO. You can not get into US.
If you know your Allien number on your card... Report to the nearest US consulate. They may get you a replacement or something of that sort for you to get back to US. |

that would depend to some extent on what passport you currently hold, as to whether you'd need a visa or not. however, if you never officially surrendered your green card, they probably won't let you in until you do surrender it, even though it's expired. Are you an intending immigrant or not, that will be the question at the airport. Surrendering your green card status will help clarify that. and it will make it easier to get a visa, in case you need one. |

Why can't you? I don't understand your fear. Like any other country, will not the US government too look into your grievance and, if found genuine, provide you with a duplicate or fresh one? Try through our embassy. Good luck. |

It works like this. If you use your foreign passport with a valid B2 visa to enter the US, then you will have to leave upon the expiration of your I-94. That is why you are issued a green card. Also, you may not be allowed into Canada without your green card or a visa to Canada. Have your green card replaced to avoid all the inconvenience. |

Not if you were born in the US. This happened to my sister and they nearly sent her back and charged the airline, only because her father was dying in hospital they made an unofficial exception. There are few sticklers for as much bureaucracy as Americans.
As a tourist as long as you weren't born there you can probably get in on a tourist visa but if you are going out again you're going to need that green card anyway. |
