Can I renew my UK Visa even though I have not used it yet?

The type of visa that I have is UK Entry Clearance. It's a dependent visa.
I've never been there.

I doubt you can't renew a visa just extend it. Now since you didn't use it and it was a dependant visa, Questions might be raised that as a Dependant why did you not travel with the person your a dependant of? That means you were not really dependant on them for you to remain behind, in other words there are others that can take care of you, you would have to have good reason. Also do you still qualify as a dependant? Is the person your a dependant of still have right of abode here? They would have to be involved in any sort of issues relating to the same visa.
I think you should be under 18 to qualify or in the UK studying and is still a dependant.
