Can Indian citizen apply for Swiss visa from USA?

Hi,
I am an Indian citizen currently in Switzerland on L permit. My wife has a dependent permit for Swiss which is valid until December 4th. She is now in USA on a business trip for 3 months (B1 Visa), she would not be back to India until December end. Is it possible to apply for swiss visa from USA? We want to get the stamping done before the permit expires in December, so that we dont have to apply for permit again which is a time consuming process.

You wife need to contact with Swiss embassy in USA, here many addresses of embassies and consulates:
