Actually, the answer is Yes. It came in some documents with my Canadian passport that if I were in trouble abroad and there was no Canadian embassy, it would be possible to seek help at a British one. |

If there is no Canadian Embassy, consulate or representative in a country you're visiting then the an alternative arrangement would have been made for Canadian citizens who need help, a guide book or the Canadian foreign affairs website should have that information
The Commonwealth is a loose of association of countries, it has no political or economic ties so unless the Canadian government has made arrangements with the British Embassy regarding help for Canadian citizens it's unlikely they'll be able to help you |
