You could, if Singapore allows dual citizenship. USA allows dual citizenzhip and most countries does. Check with your embassy. |

Singapore does not allow dual citizenship, except by certain operation of law, they become dual citizen, for instance if a child was born in the US by Singaporean parents, the child under the virtue of US law, is a US Citizen. Yet the child may be registered to be a Singaporean citizen, though born abroad.
The US allows dual citizenship. Many US Citizens are now being retained to be citizens of their former countries.
Singapore, has its own rationale for not recognising dual citizenship. Singapore is a small city-state, and with a young history, the country wants its citizen to be 100% loyal to its nation. |
