Im going to need to go to iraq in about 5 to 6 months do i just need a passport or do i need a tourist visa Or caqn i even travel to iraq considering the current relations between iraq and the usa?

Well i came to sweden to marry my fiance and we both didnt have the necessary documents so now he has to go back to bahgdad and me to the usa and so i will have to travel to bahgdad this time to get married .

Yes, you need a visa. You can apply for it to see what happens. However the security situation is pretty tense since a long time. You have to take special precautions which are not easy for a foreigner to arrange all by himself. Northern Iraq is relatively safer. Be very careful. If you tell me the exact destination, I can tell you more. |

ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS: Passports valid for at least six months and visas are required for most private American citizens. An Iraqi visa may be obtained through the Iraqi Embassy in Washington, D.C. Travelers should not rely on obtaining a visa upon arrival at an airport or port of entry in Iraq. Visitors to Iraq who plan to stay for more than 10 days must obtain a no-fee residency stamp. In Baghdad, the stamps are available for all visitors at the main Residency Office near the National Theater.
