No. That's highly illegal. You need an H type visa. You find a job first, then the employer has to be willing to sponsor you for the H visa. They will get it for you. Most employers (except high tech) don't bother with this. Some high tech won't do it any more either. They all did during the boom, but I think it's about 50/50 since the bust. |

it would not be a wise thing to do .if you friend were to get caught ? if can face deportation .tell him to consulte this link of the US gov.to get the right form to allow him to work in the US .

only illlegally. it goes for all citizens, but technically you have to have a working visa and they issue a ss number to you so you pay in. even foreignors with student visas are not supposed to work. |
