I am originally from iraq but am applying to become a British Citizen can i have a Dual Nationality? Will Iraq accept my British Citizenship even though i am an Iraqi national from birth?

The UK does not forbid dual citizenship. The issue is still in flux in Iraq: since most government officials are dual citizens, they can hardly forbid duality, and the Iraq government restored Iraqi citizenship to those who had lost it during the Saddam years, when it was not allowed. It is expected that high government officials will be expected to renounce their foreign nationalities when they take such sensitive positions, but for now your acquisition of UK citizenship should not endanger your Iraqi citizenship. You should, nonetheless, expect to be treated as an Iraqi, not a British citizen, when you are in Iraq; that is standard worldwide. |

That depends on both Iraqi law and British law. If you can't look up the relevant laws yourself, you'll need to check with each government (e.g. call an embassy or consulate of a country you're not in) and/or speak with a lawyer. |

yes you may, Iraq does not have policies against dual nationalities,
Prime Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari is a British national; so are at least five of his Cabinet members. One vice president is French, the other is said to be Saudi. The speaker of the National Assembly is American, his No. 2 is Canadian and several legislators use travel documents from neighboring Iran.
