i only have a visa tourism to france and i want to buy a car there and take it with me back to morocco and sell to somebody alse ,, can i do that . thanksssssssssss

OK I don't see a serious answer so I'll give one without a lot of research,
Probably not.
I am assuming that Morocco taxes imported cars, heavily, or else you wouldn't want to do this, and you can sel it for a lot of money.
WHen you try to take the car into Morocco, they will be concerned about you possibly doing this very thing. They will only let you bring the car into Morocco if you pay the import duties (in which case you will be able to sell it) or if you promise to take the car with you when you leave, in which case they may require you to post a bond in advance, and will probably not allow you to leave the country if you show up at the airport or a sea terminal without the car.
This is how it worked in Turkey; as a US Forces member I could bring things in without paying import tax but I had to keep them listed on my customs list and had to take them with me when I left, or I couldn't leave and had to pay substantial fines and taxes. (In practice however I had to give a box of American tea bags to the customs agent when the paperwork had a minor error. This is called a "bribe".) He then stamped the paperwork.
Of course Moroccan law could be different but this is pretty much the way it works. Cars in Morocco would be much les expensive if anyone could do waht you say. There would be no import duty on cars. But then you wouldn't find it advantageous to bring the car over in that case. |
