No. But you can use it like a tourist visa, once. Because it will become invalid after that. When they see that you came back, not completing the requested lenght of stay before you do. It's not illegal by the way if you're wondering. They will just cancel your immigrant status. "Abandon of Status" |

any given visa cannot be converted, you may go to that country and change your mind once there, and go back to your country ,
but why go to all the trouble of getting an immigrant visa and not want to use it ?
