I think I can detect the wisdom in your thinking. Now that UK has been plunged into serious debt which will take many generations of high taxation to repay, it is wise to go to another country where the future generations are not going to grow up with a mill-stone of debt round their necks. Britain is bankrupt. Enquire at the Indian Embassy. Worse come to worse, tell them you want asylum to escape from perpetual penury. |

The best thing is to ring the Indian Embassy and they should be able to tell you. If you want to live in India permanently then maybe you will need one, otherwise I think not.
