Your American citizen sister can sponsor you by filing an I-130 immigrant visa petition under the F4 category. However, that petition currently takes at least 11 years to become valid, and far more if you are Filopino or Mexican.

Yes, your sister may provide an invitation and financial guarantees for you to study in the US on an F-1, non-immigrant student visa. As already stated a green card through your sister will take years.
