ok i just have a question, right now i have a tourist visa, but i have the interview of my student visa for the next week, whay will happens to my actual tourist visa if the us embassy rejected my student aplication visa...they can cancel my tourist visa too, ?

It is possible that they could cancel it. But unlikely. Did you use your tourist visa properly? Never overstay, or even spend such large amounts of time there that they will suspect you of working? Does your student visa make sense? I.e. are you paying for your studies yourself, you have a good academic record, you can explain your plans for your studies, you're not going to live in some ethnic enclave where new arrivals typically vanish into illegal alienhood? If you're good on these things, you'll probably finish your interview with both visas intact. |

The rejection of one visa does not invalidate the other. Nor does the approval. The B2 will be valid whether or not you get the F-1. Just make sure you enter on the F-1 and not the B2 if you are going to study. Good luck! |

No, your tourist visa will still be valid until its expiration date. However, you can not study with a tourist (B1/B2) visa in the United States. |

Anonymou is right. Two separate visas. Student visas applications are reviewed by DHS before a consular officer decides if you should get it. |
