Can you be a citizen of two or more countries?

As others have already said, a few countries do allow dual citizenship with only a few other countries, based on inter-country agreements; for the rest, it depends on their own laws alone. For example, the US does allow dual citizenship; Korea allows it only until age 18; India does not allow it at all.

In fact, there are people who are citizens of more than two countries: I know a man who has Russian, Italian, Swedish and Canadian citizenship, and there are people who have even more than this.

Yes. Although originally, the "Man Without a Country" was banned from the States and other countries because he believed in "world citizenship", some countries do permit DUAL CITIZENSHIP. Two such countries are the U.S. of A. and the Philippines. (As nations, they have been "friends" for quite awhile and hostilities between the two seems remote.)
These persons who are "dual citizens" pledge allegiance to BOTH the U.S. and the Philippines.

Yes and many international business people will try and get multiple citizenships. It makes it much easier traveling when you don't have to get visas.

yes you can, depending on the countries. it is called dual citizenship. The united states does recognize dual citizenship, however some countries to reamin a citizen you have to be there for atleast 6 months of the year. unless you are going to school or are part of a mission ro soemthing a long those lines.

yes, if there is an agreement between the two countries so as to recognize the dual nationality. When a dual national is in one of his or her countries s/he is subject as a citizen to the laws of the country s/he is in at the moment. In a third country, the dual national can use either of the nationalities. When entering or leaving a country can use any passport, although it does look odd to the borders control why you have an entry stamp and not an exit one sometimes ;-)

Some will allow you to have dual citizenship, like the United Kingdom. The United States does not recognize dual citizenship.
