Canadian Visitor's Visa?

How long do they usually give a person for a short stay visa? And if it's for long stay? I'm from Southeast Asia.

You can apply for 6 monts visa which is the longest..... either for a sigle entry or multiple entry visa.... go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html for more details...

You can find this out by going to google.ca and searching for government of Canada, visa. We're a pretty generous lot, so you can get a visa for just about any length of time, as well as to work for a short period if visiting.

Visa's to Canada are good for up to 6 months but you must state the length of your stay and depart on the schedule you set out. However, this type of visa does not permit you to work, and for extended stays you will need a letter of invitation and someone to guarantee your financial needs.
