Hello friends,
I am a new international student and I have admitted in Denmark country for continuing my study.
I just mention my story as a brief:
On 24th of July, my residence and work permit has been sent to embassy in my home country by Danish Immigration Service. And I have gotten this issue on 18th of August after following my visa procedure because I had a flight ticket on 24th of August.
On 19th of August, I went to my home country embassy to get my visa . From the security guards, I just get that I should make a call to embassy's employee to get why they did not notify me during these long days.
After calling to that employee, she told me I did not receive any notification (As I have talked with immigration service and according to my University's email they have sent my visa notification to embassy of my home country on 24th of July and it seems she just wanted to drop his responsibility by her fault).
After that, I told her that you can call to Immigration Service for following my claim and she told me this work is not in my responsibility! Anyhow, I have called to University and they have followed my appeal and the immigration service sent another notification on 20th of August. At the end what I have done I could not get my visa on 21th of August and as the 22th and 23th of August are the off days for embassy in my country I have lost my flight. For getting another flight I should pay a lot of money to have a flight from another country.
I want to know from which organization in Denmark I can send my complaints against my home country embassy’s employee to pursuing this issue in justice.

You can try the National Consumer Agency.
But I would be careful if I were you. They are the ones who will issue the visa to you. If you start complaining, they might decide to make life very difficult for you and either delay the issuance of the visa OR refuse you the visa. I have had to get visas for 4 countries in my life, and I tell you, oftentimes, they can be real a$$holes. In my opinion, you should first get to Denmark, then file the complaint. The National Consumer Agency has a department where you can request a refund for money lost. You can read more at the links below. I'm sorry this happened to you, but good luck! |
