Damaged Passport?

I have a passport issued in China by the government of PRC. I've accidentally gotten it into a washer and now it's damaged. I'm a Chinese citizen and U.S. permanent residence. Does anyone know the procedure to getting the passport replaced?

You need to contact the nearest Embassy or consuate of China in the U.S. See site below to find nearest consulate.

My dear!! There is no problem at all, just approach the nearest Embassy of PRC in U S and describe them your case and your request will be fulfilled and to make it more easily you please contact them first to know the exact procedure to do so.
