Ok so here is my deal.
I'm a Chinese citizen in the US looking to go to Germany. Now for US citizens Germany does not require a visa, but they do for Chinese citizens.
I have a Chinese passport, so pretty much this is where the question comes in. Will they deal with my visa problem?
It would also be greatly appreciated if you have seen similar situations and can explain how a citizen of another country in the US can go to a country foreign to both his/her homeland and the US.
Additional Details
Oh and if it helps, I am adjust of statement/parolee waiting for my greencard. Priority date is late March, and right now they are in mid February.

It depends on your current status in the United States whether you may apply for a tourist visa valid for Germany and 24 other European countries.
Only permanent residents or holders of a valid type A, E, F, G, H, I, J, L, O, and R visa may apply for a visa to Germany from a German Consulate General in the United States. Without the right to return to the United States a visa will not be issued.
To apply for a tourist visa you should have at least the amont of $80.00 per day of stay in your bank account.

Do you remember that you went to the US Embassy in China to get your immigration papers? So in the US, if you want to go to Germany, you go to the German Embassy serving your state. Make sure you have your greencard in order before you leave. |

anytime you need a visa? you must contact the consular services of embassy of the country you wish to visit,that is the purpose of any embassy/consular services,and since the US is your place of residence? you are allowed to ask for your visa from the US.
be sure that before you travel? that you do not leave without proper documents to return to the US. |

The German Embassy or one of its Consulates should take care of your visa issue -- that's their purpose. |
