Do you agree that Embassy and Consulate establishments are the signs of countries status?

I mean, countries status is in the term of economy. coz, i notice some are in the north towns and some are on the south towns...give your comments...

actually yes...many embassies have nice gardens, ornate gates and impressive buildings, but some go overboard: constructing overscaled chanceries surrounded by a well stocked fleet of Beamers. That doesn't however give the right image when that country demonstrates it is spending its aid money responsibly.

try finding an embassy of NAURU in iceland or of FIJII in angola
but you ll find a french embassy or consulate OR HONORARY CONSUL in most areas of the world
it does make a difference

If you are talking about foreign consulates in the US, they usually are placed either where the largest emigre population of their citizens is, where there is high demand for visa or notarial services, or where the sending country has the most business interests. The same is true for US consulates overseas. Embassies are always in capital cities.
